Our aspiration is to show how technology can be a medium for design, a fresh way to think as much about aesthetics and culture as it is about production and performance. Our current focus is developing computational tools for creative applications in design.
ABOUT THE DESIGNERS - Lionel Wong
Lionel is a Hong Kong PhD Fellowship holder for his ongoing studies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He had also been awarded the Bright Future Charitable Foundation Design Scholarship for his Masters studies in Interaction Design from Hong Kong PolyU, of which he achieved a Distinction. Prior to that, he holds a Bachelor degree majoring in Industrial Design from the National University of Singapore.
Before Baëlf Design, Lionel has more than a decade of experience working at international companies like Asus and Hasbro. He also taught design at institutions such as Singapore Polytechnic and Raffles Design Institute.
As a designer at Baëlf, his responsibilities include complex 3D modelling and fabrication of prototypes. He is curious about new technological approaches to fashion and design, and is investigating various
forms of additive manufacturing, the use of exotic, interactive textiles and materials, generative design and computational creativity through machine learning.
